Bourbon
Bourbon is an American whiskey made from at least 51% corn and aged in new charred oak barrels. Known for its smooth, sweet flavor with hints of vanilla and caramel, it can be produced anywhere in the U.S., though it's often associated with Kentucky. To qualify as bourbon, it must be distilled to no more than 160 proof, aged at no more than 125 proof, and bottled at a minimum of 80 proof. Its distinct character comes from the corn and the aging process.
