Whisky
Whisky (or whiskey) is a distilled liquor made from fermented grains like barley, corn, rye, or wheat. It’s usually aged in wooden barrels, often made of charred white oak, though barrels previously used for port, rum, or sherry are sometimes used too.
Whisky production is strictly regulated, and different types of whisky share key steps: fermenting grains, distilling, and aging in barrels.
